The concept of a soul is complex and multifaceted, and different religious and philosophical traditions have different ideas about what a soul is and what role it plays in the nature of the divine.

Some traditions view God as a being that is entirely transcendent and, therefore, not subject to the same physical and metaphysical laws as humans. In these traditions, it may not be appropriate to speak of God as having a soul as humans do.

Does God have a soul?

Other traditions view God as immanent and present in the world and, therefore, subject to the same laws of nature as everything else. In these traditions, it may be possible to speak of God as having a soul, but the concept of a soul in these traditions is often understood in a very different way than it is in the context of human experience.

Whether God has a soul is likely to be debated and understood differently by different people, depending on their beliefs and perspectives.
