In the Buddhist tradition, marriage is considered a secular affair, and it is generally up to the individual and their family to decide whether or not to marry.

However, the Buddha did teach that the pursuit of sensual pleasures, including sexual relationships, can be a source of suffering and distraction from the path of spiritual development. Therefore, some Buddhists may choose not to marry or limit their relationships to non-sexual friendships to focus on their spiritual practice.

Overall, the decision to marry or not is a personal one that should be made based on an individual’s circumstances, values, and goals.
