Vairochana Buddha - The Buddha of the wisdom

Vairochana represents the wisdom of all-encompassing awareness and is often depicted with the mudra of teaching. He is associated with the center, the element of space, and the color white. Vairochana is considered to be the embodiment of the Dharmakaya, or the “Truth Body”, which represents the ultimate nature of reality.

In Tibetan Buddhism, Vairochana is considered to be the source of all the other Dhyani Buddhas and is often depicted as the central figure in mandalas. Through meditation on Vairochana, practitioners aim to cultivate the wisdom of all-encompassing awareness and to gain a deeper understanding of the nature of reality. This wisdom is believed to help to eliminate ignorance, anger, and hatred and to bring about a state of peace, happiness, and fulfillment.

In Buddhist symbols, Vairochana is often depicted sitting on a lotus throne and holding a wheel in his hand. The wheel symbolizes the teachings of the Buddha and the lotus represents the attainment of enlightenment. He is also often shown with his consort, Locana, who symbolizes the illumination of the mind.

In summary, Vairochana Buddha represents the wisdom of all-encompassing awareness and is considered to be the source of all other Dhyani Buddhas. His followers aim to cultivate this wisdom through meditation and to gain a deeper understanding of the nature of reality.
