TABLE OF CONTENT
The three main beliefs of Catholicism are:
- The belief in one God, who is the creator and sustainer of the universe and all that is in it. Catholicism teaches that God is eternal, all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-loving.
- The belief in the divinity of Jesus Christ, the son of God, who was born of the Virgin Mary, suffered and died for the salvation of humanity and rose from the dead. Catholicism teaches that Jesus is the savior of the world and the only way to receive eternal life.
- The belief in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Holy Trinity, is the source of inspiration, guidance, and strength for believers. Catholicism teaches that the Holy Spirit is present in the Church and the lives of believers and that through the Holy Spirit, believers can live a holy and righteous life.
These three beliefs are known as the Holy Trinity and form the core of the Catholic faith.
