Muslims believe that the Qur’an is the final revelation from God and that it supersedes all previous scriptures, including the Bible.

The Qur’an is considered the direct word of God, as revealed to the prophet Muhammad through the angel Gabriel. At the same time, the Bible is believed to contain the word of God as revealed to earlier prophets but is subject to interpretation and may contain errors. However, Muslims respect the Bible as holy scripture and believe it contains God’s teachings.

Do Muslims read the Bible?

In Islam, the Qur’an is considered to be the ultimate source of guidance and the primary source of religious authority. Muslims follow the teachings of the Qur’an and the example of the prophet Muhammad as recorded in the Hadith (sayings and actions of Muhammad) to live a righteous and fulfilling life by God’s will.

Many Muslims also study the lives of the prophets and other figures mentioned in the Qur’an, including those from the Bible, to learn more about their teachings and the lessons they can offer.

It is worth noting that while the Qur’an is considered to be the final revelation from God, Muslims believe that it confirms and upholds the fundamental teachings of previous scriptures, including the Bible. They believe that the Qur’an serves as a correction and clarification of earlier revelations and provides guidance for humanity until the end of time.
